We are a community of foster carers, children and young people, staff and volunteers in Scotland. Our community cares for young people in family settings when they cannot live with their own families. We provide safe and nurturing homes to help them thrive and reach their potential.
Our charity has been supporting children and young people in Scotland for over 200 years. Originally an orphanage, today we provide family-based care offered by carers skilled in therapeutic parenting.
Foster care is highly rewarding. There are challenges, but with help and support, you can positively change the life of a young person. Many more foster carers are needed across Scotland.
Foster carers are self-employed and receive a weekly fee and a young person’s allowance.
