Foster Carer

  • Location: Dundee, Angus, Fife, Aberdeenshire, Clackmannanshire, Perth, Edinburgh, Aberdeen
  • Salary: Competitive fostering allowance
  • Closing Date: 31/12/2020

About Us

We are a foster care charity, a supported lodgings provider and a residential service for young people. We aspire not to be the biggest provider but one of the best.

Our Mission

We make homes to nurture children and young peoples’ potential.

The Difference You’ll Make

Foster carers look after children or young people in their own homes. Fostering provides the opportunity for children and young people to thrive in a safe and nurturing home environment with foster carers. This provides a stable family life for a child or young person who is unable to live with their own family.

How Will You Do This?

We are currently seeking Fosters Carers in Dundee, Angus, Fife, Perth, Falkirk, Alloa, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. We are looking for energetic and committed individuals with a positive outlook to join our team of dedicated foster carers.

The qualities you’ll bring

If you are over the age of 21 and have a spare bedroom at home then we’d love to hear from you. Our foster carers come from all walks of life and backgrounds. We welcome couples, same-sex couples, families and single people of any race, income and homeownership status. Your personal qualities are as important to us as your age, experience or qualifications. Foster caring is rewarding, but you will need time, patience and commitment.

How Will We Support You?

Our professional and supportive Foster Care Team are here to support you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your dedicated support includes:

  • 24-hour high quality, professional support helpline
  • Allocation of your own Supervising Social Worker
  • An ongoing comprehensive training programme
  • 2 weeks’ holiday allowance per year
  • Regular local support groups
  • A competitive fostering allowance covering the needs of the child/young person and recognising your commitment and skills
