“I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing 2025 by Great Place To Work® UK! Carolina House Trust has officially ranked 8th among the top 100 small organisations on the list.

The UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing List, recognises companies prioritising employee wellbeing in their workplace culture.

The list is driven by staff input into our annual employee engagement survey. This assessed holistic experiences of wellbeing at work through fundamental facets of employee wellbeing, including: Work-life balance, Sense of fulfilment, Job satisfaction, and Financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all teams and seniority levels.

These results provide evidence for what we know to be true at CHT – that the wellbeing of our community matters, because only a community who are doing well individually and collectively can provide the best possible care and opportunities for our young people. Thanks for helping make this a Great Place to Work. “

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work UK says: “A thriving workplace culture is rooted in trust, pride, camaraderie, and a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing. As we mark the fourth year of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeingâ„¢ list, we’re proud to celebrate organisations that go above and beyond to support their people’s mental, physical, financial, and social health. When employees feel truly valued and supported, they’re not only healthier – they’re also more energised, motivated and aligned with their organisation’s goals. Congratulations to Carolina House Trust on earning a well-deserved place on this prestigious list!”

This accreditation follows being named a Great Place to Work in November 2024, 9th in the Top 100 Small Organisations in March 2025 and 9th in the best Workplaces for Development list.

This latest announcement confirms Carolina House Trust’s position as a leading organisation in the area for wellbeing of its staff, foster carers, children and young people and volunteers.

Carolina House Trust is currently recruiting foster carers in East and Central Scotland to join their community and provide a child with a safe and nurturing home, ably supported by a team passionate about their personal and professional development.
